The Boston GP178 is a 178cm grand piano, sharing the same dimensions as the Steinway Model O and Kawai GX-2. Designed by Steinway & Sons in the USA and expertly built by Kawai in Japan, it combines Steinway’s renowned design expertise with Japanese craftsmanship and precision. The result is a high-quality grand piano that offers an attractive alternative to a new Yamaha C2X or Kawai GX-2, while serving as a natural progression towards a Steinway Model O.

The GP178 incorporates a range of Steinway-inspired innovations that enhance both tone and performance. These include a wide-tail design, duplex scaling, a rock maple inner rim, and a solid, tight-grained Sitka spruce soundboard. Lower string tension contributes to greater sustain, improved clarity, and a rich, singing tone.
