Presenting a Boston GP-178 grand piano (178 cm) designed by Steinway & Sons and built by Kawai in Japan. Carefully used and finished in polished black, this instrument delivers a clear, singing tone and a responsive, sensitive touch.

The wide-tail cabinet contains a solid Sitka spruce soundboard with duplex scaling that enhances sustain, clarity and tonal depth. Lower string tension together with an Octagrip pinblock supports even resonance and improved tuning stability.

The cabinet follows the New York Steinway aesthetic with squared cheeks, elegant spade legs, bevelled lid edges and a soft-close fallboard. At 178 cm the GP-178 represents the largest of the small-grand sizes and shares a similar footprint with instruments such as the Steinway Model O, Yamaha C2X and Kawai GX-2.

This particular instrument has seen light use and is presented in excellent overall condition, offering the character and playability expected by discerning home pianists, teachers and serious students. It has 88 keys and three pedals and carries serial number 181723. Built in 2015.
