Matured soundboards: Kigarashi

Completely natural drying of the wood. The soundboard specially adjusted for a Shigeru piano is made from the finest spruce, matured by the traditional Kigarashi method that uses only the forces of time and nature to allow the wood to reach a state of natural equilibrium. It is the duration of this meticulous process that gives Shigeru pianos their unique tonal quality and richness.
