Steinway & Sons Model B-211 Grand Piano, Built 1991
Purchased new in 1992 from Steingraeber & Söhne, Bayreuth. Single-owner instrument (first hand).
For many years, this piano has been exclusively maintained and optimized by the renowned Viennese piano maker Gerhard Fichtenbauer. It has been used solely for occasional private house concerts. The instrument has remained in the same location since its delivery, protected from direct sunlight, and kept under strictly controlled humidity during the winter months.
The soundboard and bridges are in excellent condition with no cracks. The strings are original and offer a rich, vibrant tone. The dampers function perfectly and without any background noise. The piano is equipped with a sostenuto pedal. Despite a longer period without tuning, the pitch has dropped only minimally, demonstrating exceptional tuning stability.
The sound is outstanding.
