The Kawai GL-40 is a classic salon grand designed to deliver a balanced, powerful tone and a responsive touch suitable for demanding players and teaching environments.

This instrument features Kawai’s patented Millennium III action with ABS-Carbon (carbon-fibre) components for precise, durable performance. The action includes extended keysticks and concert-length key buttons to ensure even response and optimal energy transfer.

Construction highlights include a solid spruce soundboard with a precision tapered design and permanent crown for long-term stability, dual duplex scaling for enhanced tonal richness, and solid brass agraffes for consistent string spacing. The GL-40 uses a multi-grip 11-ply laminated pinblock and a V-Pro grey iron plate with crossbone design for reliable tuning stability.
