The Kawai GX-2 is a compact concert-capable grand that delivers rich tonal depth and responsive touch in a 180 cm format — ideal for homes, studios and smaller performance spaces.

This instrument features Kawai’s Millennium III action with ABS-Carbon for precise, reliable playability and NeoTex key surfaces that help control moisture for a consistent feel. The rim is constructed using the Konsei Katagi method to balance tonal character, while a vertically laminated bridge with a solid maple cap and continuous bridge design improve energy transfer across registers.

Carefully engineered scale work from the Shigeru Kawai R&D laboratory, combined with dual duplex scaling and a permanently crowned solid spruce soundboard, produces a full, resonant voice. The piano’s stability and tuning integrity are supported by an 11-ply multi-grip pinblock, solid brass agraffes and a steel-reinforced, multi-laminated keybed with reinforced keyslip.
