Gebruikte, Steinway & Sons, D-274

This sale includes UK ground-floor delivery, a new height-adjustable stool, a five-year warranty and a complimentary tuning within six months of delivery.

Sherwood Phoenix Pianos Nottinghamshire offers a Steinway & Sons Model D concert grand in black satin. At approximately 274 cm (9 ft) in length, the Model D is Steinway’s flagship concert instrument, prized for its depth of tone, powerful bass, singing treble and vast dynamic range.

This particular instrument was reconditioned by Steinway London in 1985 and has been kept by a single family since then, reflecting careful ownership. The piano combines the power expected of a full-size concert grand with refined control and tonal sensitivity at quieter dynamics.

It represents a rare opportunity to acquire a genuine Steinway Model D suitable for professional pianists, concert venues, recording studios, institutions or a large private music room.

All pianos shown are available to play in our showroom in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Our selection exceeds 250 instruments — uprights, baby grands, grands and concert grands to suit various budgets and tastes. With more than 7,000 pianos sold over the years, we are experienced in helping customers find the right instrument.

Showroom opening hours: Monday–Saturday 10:00–17:30; Sundays by appointment only. The Mansfield showroom has two floors of instruments and one of the largest Steinway & Sons selections in the UK. If you do not play, our pianist will be happy to demonstrate any instrument privately.
