Pleyel modèle 3 (204 cm) — an instrument prized for its warm, veiled sonority and exceptional capacity for nuanced expression. This example delivers a rich, dark tone that particularly suits Chopin’s repertoire while remaining versatile across styles.

The piano dates from 1910 and has undergone a careful, year‑long restoration programme. The works carried out include a new keyboard, a newly fitted Ciresa soundboard and a completely renewed action. All interventions were made with strict adherence to Pleyel’s original specifications to preserve the instrument’s characteristic voice and longevity.

As the official UK supplier of new Pleyel pianos, we used the Pleyel design archive to guide the restoration and ensure faithful performance and tonal balance.

The case is finished in black; the instrument features 88 keys and two pedals, and measures 204 cm in length. The restoration was planned to keep the piano’s original character while improving playability and reliability.
