Opis
Steinway D grand piano
It is more than a grand piano; it is a work of art, both visually and sonically.

Our company spent six years acquiring this beauty, which was used as a concert grand piano in a palace by a family passionate about music and art.

Although the grand piano dates from 1877, it was in 1900 when the noble family held their major concerts in the palace.

We have taken this instrument to one of the best-known and most reputable restoration workshops in Europe.

All mechanisms are original to the brand.

We have preserved the nobility of the rosewood with a period varnish.
Its overall character is as if we had traveled back to 1877.
This grand piano was known as the "Plain Grand Style 2".
This 274 cm long grand piano was Steinway's flagship model, and it should be noted that it was the first piano with eighty-eight keys, cross-stringing and three pedals built at the time. In other words, like today's grand pianos, the great vision of the 21st century by technicians and engineers.

This piano thus became the icon of the Steinway concert grand "Model D". And, of course, tuned to 440HZ like today's pianos.

This instrument features several patents that revolutionized the world of grand pianos: the projection and fullness of the sound from the soundboard and the double repetition mechanism.

When this instrument was built in 1877, Steinway & Sons had become the leading piano manufacturer in the United States.

Piano makers worldwide adopted innovations such as the cast-iron plate and stringing, both used in this instrument long before other manufacturers.
