Finish: black polish. The sound is distinguished by a dark, velvety bass, a warm and carrying midrange, and a pearly treble — characteristic of Steinways from the early 20th century. The original, hand-made action provides precise control of dynamics and articulation, enabling the execution of both subtle and powerful phrases.
