The C. Bechstein L 167 is a baby grand piano designed to offer the voice and touch of larger instruments despite its compact 167 cm. Designed for demanding musicians, it allows any musical idea to be approached with clarity and nuance.

This model retains the acoustic solutions of larger pianos — including the duplex scale — which contributes to its broad resonance and a homogeneous sound projection. The 88-note keyboard provides a sensitive response and a pleasant touch that facilitates dynamic control.

Handmade in Germany, the L 167 descends from the pre-Second World War “Model L”. The combination of artisanal tradition and the continuous improvement of materials and processes by the R&D department results in instruments with their own character and a sound much appreciated by performers and conductors.

Each instrument requires months of work in specialized facilities, and its construction is aimed at recovering the strong tonal projection characteristic of the finest pianistic tradition, adapted to current demands.
