Beschreibung
For sale: an Érard Petite Patron grand piano from 1857, 200 cm in length, after a full and professional restoration carried out 10 years ago in accordance with the principles of historical instrument restoration. The piano holds a stable concert pitch A = 440 Hz, is regularly used in concert practice, and is stable and ready for further artistic work.
The instrument features an exceptional rosewood case decorated with subtle brass inlay. It is one of the most representative Érard models from the mid-19th century - both in terms of aesthetics and sound. It is a typical Romantic instrument, closely related to the pianos used by F. Chopin, F. Liszt and E. Grieg. The visual condition is very good.
The double escapement action patented by Sébastien Érard has been fully rebuilt and regulated, while the original hammer felt has been preserved. The pinblock and strings are new (low-tension strings appropriate for historical instruments), and the soundboard has been professionally restored.
The instrument offers a characteristic, deep and noble sound as well as precise action. It is particularly suitable for Romantic repertoire. Thanks to the restoration work, it can be used for concert performance, recordings and high-level education.
The piano has been used by a professional pianist in concerts and artistic projects. It is not a museum exhibit but a living instrument. This is a large salon-concert grand piano after comprehensive restoration. Ideal for:
collectors,
institutions,
music academies,
concert venues,
demanding pianists.
Additional photos, recordings and detailed information about the restoration are available on request. You are welcome to contact me and personally try the instrument. The piano is located in Kraków (Poland).
