C. Bechstein technicians are invited to our C. Bechstein Weekends – a weekend of experience – sharing and training under the supervision of our master craftsmen. From Friday morning to noon on Sunday, you will have the opportunity to train on quality C. Bechstein instruments without having to take extended amounts of time off work. Choose a subject to dive deep into over 16 hours of intensive work. Alongside new ideas and useful tips on servicing C. Bechstein instruments, there will be time for a factory tour and information about C. Bechstein itself.
C.Bechstein weekends 2023
Please indicate your chosen subject when you register! You can choose from the following subjects:
- Tonal performance of grand and upright pianos – Tuning and voicing of C. Bechstein instruments. You can choose between voicing grand and upright pianos.
- Touch of grand and upright pianos – Regulation of grand piano keyboard and action assemblies including advice how to modify touch. You can choose between regulation of grand pianos and upright pianos.
- Grand piano dampers and sostenuto – Installation of grand piano dampers and damper guide rail, damper action, damper stop rail, pedals and sostenuto.
- Inside the VARIO digital system – Installation and service of the stop rail and electronic components, including service and troubleshooting for all VARIO systems.
- Concert service – What is the best way to prepare yourself and the instrument for the pianist and benefit from encounters with pianists? Learn tips on how to install pins in non-bushed plates and use the tool, on musical tuning with intervals, on temperature, unisons, octaves and stretched tuning.
- Finish – Repair and maintenance of cabinets with satin and polished finishes.
