C. Bechstein Model C, 224 cm (7'4"), manufactured in February 1906 and confirmed in the C. Bechstein factory archives.

This instrument retains its original rosewood case and original ivory keytops. It benefits from long-term, careful maintenance and has spent many years in a recording studio environment where it was well looked after.

The piano was professionally reconditioned by Harrods in the 1950s and was restrung by John Delacour around 1985. It is regularly tuned, holds its tuning well and delivers the warm, singing tonal character typical of early Bechstein grands.
