Beskrivning
For sale: an Érard Petite Patron piano from 1857, length 200 cm, after a full and professional restoration carried out 10 years ago in accordance with the principles of conservation of historical instruments. The piano maintains a stable concert pitch A = 440 Hz, is regularly used in concert practice and is stable and ready for further artistic work.
The instrument has an exceptional rosewood case decorated with subtle brass inlays. It is one of the most representative Érard models from the mid‑19th century — both in terms of aesthetics and sound. It is a typical Romantic instrument, close to those used by F. Chopin, F. Liszt and E. Grieg. The visual condition is very good.
The double escapement mechanism patented by Sébastien Érard has been completely rebuilt and regulated, preserving the original hammer felt. The pinblock and strings are new (low‑tension strings suitable for historical instruments), and the soundboard has been professionally restored.
The instrument offers a characteristic, deep and noble tone and a precise action. It is particularly suitable for Romantic repertoire. Thanks to the restoration work, it can be used for concerts, recordings and high‑level education.
The piano was used by a professional pianist in concerts and artistic projects. It is not a museum exhibit but a living instrument. This is a large salon‑and‑concert grand piano after a comprehensive restoration. Ideal for:
- collectors,
- institutions,
- music academies,
- concert halls,
- demanding pianists.
Additional photos, recordings and detailed information about the restoration are available on request. Please contact via the contact form and try the instrument in person. The piano is located in Kraków (Poland).
