Offered for sale: a rare Broadwood & Sons Altro fortepiano, an acoustic instrument from the 19th century that retains authentic period character valued by performers and collectors.

Finished in black, the instrument has 85 keys and two pedals. Technical data: serial number 38282; documented build year 1876. The piano’s condition corresponds to a used historical instrument—suitable for study, historical-performance practice, museum exhibition or a private collector.
The piano features a beautiful glossy/satin black finish with exquisite floral wood inlays on the front panel and gilded trim with period candelabra and brackets. It also bears the stamp of the historic dealer ‘Etherington & Son – Richmond, Surrey’.

The serial number is 38282 (roughly dating from the late 19th century)
