Description

Bluthner | 1938 | 5’ Baby Grand | High Polish Ebony

This Bluthner bearing the serial number 124476 dating to 1938 is exquisite. Steffes and Schultz from Eisenberg, Germany refurbished this model and did a fantastic job. The piano is in high polish ebony and is a stunning example of what fine European pianos should be.

Since 1853 the name Bluthner has been synonymous with German ingenuity and quality that we expect from our Germany manufacturing. Steffes and Schultz replaced all the necessary action parts, refinished the soundboard, reglazed the plate, replaced all felts throughout. It has brand new hammer, shanks and flanges. To cap it off with a high polish ebony finish was like putting icing on a cake. Incredible inside and out.

Steffes and Schulz GmbH of Weisbaden Germany are responsible for the refurbishments of this piano. Mr. Steffes is the former owner of Wilhelm Steinberg Piano Company in Eisenberg, Germany. Mr. Schulz is a fifth generation piano designer, technician and entrepreneur. Mr. Schulz family stretches back to the mid 1800s in the piano industry.

For over 40 years R. Kassman Piano has represented the finest European Pianos on the planet. Today the philosophy of selling pianos has remained the same: Find the right piano for the customer and offer the lowest price possible for the best instrument possible.

R Kassman’s Master Technician has completely voiced and regulated the piano to concert expectations and returned it to it’s sweet tonal expectations. The touch, both up-weight and down-weight, have been perfectly balanced making this piano a true masterpiece inside and out. This unique piano is perfect for the fine arts connoisseur looking for a piano that goes beyond the pedigree.

If you are looking for a fine quality European baby grand then this is the logical choice.

You want to buy a used piano?

When looking for a piano for sale, there are several aspects to consider before making a purchase. As with upright pianos, grand pianos on the market are available in a new or used condition. New instruments are most often covered with a few years' warranty, which confirms their impeccable technical condition. It happens that sellers also offer a guarantee for used instruments... Grand piano for sale - what do you need to pay attention...?

The casing of an instrument such as a piano is usually a large surface covered with high gloss polyester varnish, or a veneer imitating some kind of wood, e.g. walnut or mahogany, also covered with varnish, or a polished surface. If you want to have a piano at home that looks impeccable visually, we recommend that you look at the state of the lids to see if their surface is not scratched or varnished, similarly to the piano legs...
