Well-preserved Bösendorfer 170 with Viennese action (170 cm, brown finish), built 1909. I am selling it due to relocation and lack of space.
The instrument was purchased two years ago in Freiburg from an elderly owner who had played it for decades. It appears to have been fully overhauled at some earlier time — I do not know the exact date — but it holds its tuning exceptionally well and required almost no retuning during the two years in my care.
The action is easy and responsive. The piano produces a warm, spacious and clear sound with a lively musical colour often missing from many modern grands. It responds particularly well at low dynamics and is suitable for delicate, expressive playing.
