Bösendorfer 170 — Restored 170 cm Viennese Grand

Bösendorfer Model 170 is a compact Viennese grand that combines elegant appearance with a surprisingly rich musical voice. At 170 cm and finished in black shellac, this instrument has been fully restored to deliver sound and response beyond what its size suggests.

The original Renner action has been preserved, providing precise control, reliable repetition and a well-balanced touch that supports expressive playing. Tonally the piano is warm and rounded, with a singing treble and a lyrical midrange that reveal refined tonal colours.

The restoration was carried out by a respected Viennese master technician and included extensive tone work, regulation and voicing. The instrument was tuned repeatedly during the process and adjusted to ensure a responsive, balanced playing experience.

Built in 1935, the piano features 85 keys and two pedals. It is suitable for professional pianists and discerning music lovers who appreciate Viennese craftsmanship.
