Grand piano C. Bechstein A 190, length 190 cm, serial number 151865, built in 1960. Instrument in black finish, equipped with three pedals.
Made in Germany, the piano has a soundboard in very good condition and a cast iron frame with overstrung strings that provides solid acoustic support. The pinblock retains about 80% of its strength: this is sufficient to stabilize tuning around A440, although the strings require a thorough cleaning to improve tuning stability.
The Renner action is functional; however, a routine regulation is recommended to even out the touch. The cast iron frame and the soundboard would also benefit from a professional cleaning. The cabinet lacquer shows signs of wear and requires restoration to recover its aesthetic sheen.
