Erard 1/2 half-grand – differentiated sound, concert-ready

We are offering one of our Erard half-grand pianos with parallel strings, which we regularly used in concerts at the Palais Kraft. The instrument impresses with a clear, transparent tone, with a rich bass and balanced mid and treble registers. Due to its construction, the groups of strings remain acoustically separate, which significantly enhances the differentiation of the sound.

The grand is particularly suited to works of the 19th and early 20th centuries; many pianists preferred this Erard to our Pleyel with parallel strings (exception: the Chopin repertoire). The instrument was tuned almost monthly and, as a rule, before each concert.
