Grotrian-Steinweg 170 — Restored Art Nouveau Parlor Piano

Grotrian‑Steinweg 170, fully renovated and recently tuned (June 2026).

Dimensions: length 170 cm, height 101 cm, width 148 cm.

Keyboard: 88 keys with ivory keytops in excellent condition.

Design and finish: elegant Art Nouveau case restored in black — high‑gloss finish on the top lids and keyboard cover, satin black on the remaining surfaces. Polished brass fittings highlight the period details on the legs, pedals and music rest. The original matching stool is included.

Sound and touch: the instrument delivers fine tonal nuances and a precise, responsive touch. Even delicate articulation produces a clear, surprisingly powerful sound — sitting at this piano will bring a concert‑like atmosphere into your room.

History and provenance: built in 1906 (serial number 16008). The piano was originally owned by Professor Aleksander Wielhorski, who taught at the Warsaw Conservatory between 1929 and 1939 and performed in Poland, across Europe and in the United States. After his death in 1952 the instrument was acquired by the seller's family and has seen only light use in recent years.
