Description
Rare, well-maintained example of the Kawai EP308 in excellent overall condition.
This electro-acoustic stage grand uses real piano strings and the same weighted Kawai grand action for an authentic touch and response. The instrument combines acoustic piano mechanics with a built-in pickup and electronics so it can be amplified or connected directly to a recording interface.
For studio work you can mic the hammer sound and record the direct output simultaneously for a rich, layered result. The onboard electronics include stereo tremolo, an effects loop, plus balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" stereo outputs—functionally similar to classic stage models such as the Yamaha CP70/CP80.
The black tolex finish is immaculate and the piano measures approximately 158 cm in width. Acoustically it is quieter than many conventional pianos; with the lid closed it can be played in apartment settings without causing excessive disturbance.
Built for touring, the piano is substantial in weight but designed to be tilted onto its side by one person and rolled on the built-in wheels. The original power supply cord and sustain pedal are included with the sale.
