Craftsmanship and control
Each stage of its construction has been carried out by Shigeru Kawai craftsmen, with exhaustive attention to the regulation of the action and the selection of woods. The result is a sensitive response and a balanced tone across the full range.
Soundboard and aging (Kigarashi method)
The soundboard is made from selected spruce and subjected to the traditional Kigarashi drying. This controlled aging provides structural stability and enriches the mid and low registers.
