Description
The instrument's case has been coated with high-quality Italian polyester lacquer in a deep, glossy black, which increases durability and gives it an elegant appearance.
The soundboard was fully renovated and then sealed with a specialist Italian lacquer to preserve its acoustic properties.
The caps of the bass and treble bridge were replaced — made from selected beech wood and profiled in four stages; they improve the transmission and resonance of the instrument.
New strings were installed: the bass section from the manufacturer Heller and the treble section from Roslau; all strings were scaled and adjusted based on precise measurements.
The pinblock was replaced with a new five-layer construction of hard maple with tight growth rings, allowing solid drilling and increasing tuning stability.
The cast-iron frame was refurbished and coated with a carefully selected lacquer that harmonizes with the piano's brand and model.
An original, complete Steinway & Sons action was installed in the instrument — this improves control over dynamics and the responsiveness of the keyboard.
The keyboard underwent a comprehensive restoration using original Steinway components; the white key coverings were replaced with new Kluge Ivoplast coverings. The action and keyboard were precisely regulated.
Eight tunings were carried out and a final voicing/intonation was performed by a certified technician. All work aimed to restore the instrument's full functionality, tuning stability, and a rich, balanced sound.
