Steinway & Sons B‑211 – concert grand piano with full depth of tone

This Steinway & Sons B‑211, originally made in Hamburg and from a first owner, has been very carefully maintained and only gently played.

The instrument has been kept permanently in favorable climatic conditions. Regular service entries document annual maintenance and responsible use.

Technically and visually the grand presents itself in excellent original condition. In 2004 the hammer heads and hammer shanks were professionally renewed using original spare parts. The surface is virtually flawless; minor signs of use have been carefully smoothed out.

The action has been fully checked; the grand has been regulated for concert use, tuned and voiced. The touch is characterized by a fine response, precise control and high responsiveness. The original natural key coverings, which are no longer permitted today, have been replaced with a high‑quality Tharan covering from Kluge.

Sonically the instrument impresses with a powerful, distinctive character: a voluminous bass with great depth, brilliant and transparent treble, a wide palette of tonal colours and excellent projection.
