Steinway & Sons M-170 — faithfully restored to original condition

As part of the renovation the instrument received a complete restringing as well as new tuning pins and bridge components. The soundboard has been freshly sealed and the cast-iron plate has been re-bronzed.

The action was also thoroughly overhauled: new dampers, completely new hammers and hammer shanks, and renewed mechanical felts provide a precise, nuanced response and an almost like-new playing feel. The keyboard was likewise extensively refurbished and shows no signs of wear.

The simple, modern-shaped cabinet has been polished in high-gloss black and presents the instrument with impeccable elegance. An ideal grand for anyone seeking a refined sound in a living-space-friendly size (170 cm).
