The compact C1X convinces with a full, balanced tone and precise response. As the smallest model of the CX series it has a depth of 160 cm and features an elegant, sweeping design.
The reinforced frame construction, the resonant soundboard and the new strings provide warmth and harmonic overtones. The hammers are covered with the same premium felt as on the Yamaha CFX concert grand, which contributes to the richness of the sound.
The 88-key keyboard allows for fine dynamic gradations. The fallboard closes slowly and is equipped with a stop mechanism that protects the player and the instrument in case the lid falls.
