Description
Yamaha built this C6 grand piano in Japan in 1997 and finished it in a polished ebony cabinet. At just under seven feet in length, the C6 offers impressive scale and versatility for both private and professional use. The cabinet remains in very good condition throughout. Our cabinet craftsmen have professionally burnished the polyester finish, giving the instrument a smart, elegant appearance that reflects its acoustic character. In addition, our technicians have fully prepared the piano in our workshops, ensuring a high musical and mechanical standard. As expected from a piano of this size, the bass is strong and authoritative, providing depth and foundation across the instrument.
The tone is warm and rounded, while retaining the clarity and definition for which Yamaha grands are known. The piano also delivers real presence and attack when required, suiting both powerful repertoire and controlled, expressive playing. As a result, the C6 adapts easily to different settings and suits a serious home pianist, teaching studio or smaller performance venue. Projection and balance remain strong across all uses. With a new Yamaha C6 priced at just under £50,000, this example represents excellent value at well under half price. Overall, it is a substantial and capable grand piano, offering scale, warmth and performance flexibility in a proven, highly regarded model. - 16277
