Description
Description
Yamaha GC1 Transacoustic. Play the piano at any volume. There are times when the sound of an acoustic piano should not be heard by your family or neighbors. For those situations, simply activate the TransAcoustic function and the hammers will no longer strike the strings. Sensors located beneath each key detect the depth of each press, its velocity and the moment it occurs, and send this information to the tone generator. You can adjust the volume to suit your needs. The use of headphones or external amplification is not necessary.

SILENT Piano technology. The renowned SILENT SH technology from Yamaha allows you to carry out practice sessions with headphones. TransAcoustic pianos also include a binaural sample of the Yamaha CFX concert grand, recorded with special techniques to perfectly capture the sound from the pianist’s natural playing position. These two technologies adapt to all situations so you can play without disturbing others.

Play with accompaniment featuring SILENT Piano SH. Enjoy playing accompanied by the 50 preset songs included in the TransAcoustic, with pieces you have recorded yourself, or even with commercial tracks through its soundboard. You can be as creative as you like: with this function you can, for example, play a duet with yourself or simply listen to the recordings.

Choose from different sounds — a broad sonic palette. The TransAcoustic piano offers 19 additional sounds, allowing you to select the perfect voice to match the musical genre you are performing. It includes digital pianos, clavichords, vibraphones, pipe or jazz organs, strings, choirs and synthesizers. The TransAcoustic is perfect for use in jazz clubs, hotels, restaurants, churches and almost anywhere you can imagine. All voices are produced through the soundboard. For this reason, playing a TransAcoustic piano is a unique experience.

Combining acoustic and digital sound thanks to its unique construction, TransAcoustic pianos let you layer the natural sound of the acoustic piano with the voices of the tone generator. You can achieve spectacular sounds, for example by selecting orchestral strings as a backdrop to the acoustic piano, or by mixing the digitized sound of the CFX concert piano with the instrument’s own natural sound to obtain a new, even more powerful piano tone.

The sound of a Yamaha CFX. The TransAcoustic piano features a meticulous sampling system using binaural technology of the Yamaha CFX concert grand, the piano most requested by leading pianists nationally and internationally. You can experience the sound of a concert grand in a much more compact instrument.
