Description
A characterful piano from the Swiss manufactory Schmidt‑Flohr, model 136. This concert piano was built according to traditional quality principles and combines solid, durable materials with modern construction — a design that was especially valued in the first half of the 20th century for high-quality soundboards.
The instrument presented features a modern full metal plate and a contemporary action, of the type still in use today. In our specialist workshop the piano was comprehensively overhauled: action and regulation were renewed, and the instrument was finally tuned.
The sound is warm, lyrical and well balanced across all registers. The touch is precise and even, enabling demanding pieces to be performed clearly and with full expression. Externally, the piano stands out with a wood-colored appearance and finely crafted details on the case and decorative moldings.
