Description
This piano introduces a soundboard made from Kevlar — a material that is exceptionally strong and flexible while still retaining a warm, wood‑like resonance.
Designed with studio use in mind: the instrument delivers a clear and detailed sound that is well suited to recordings requiring little post‑production. This makes the piano particularly suitable for recording environments and professional studio sessions.
PianoVisions recently supplied a Phoenix 130 with a carbon/kevlar soundboard to the pianist of Davina Michelle’s band; this instrument will soon be used in their recording studio.
The cabinet construction takes place at the renowned piano factory Steingräber & Söhne in Germany. The piano is then finished in England using the latest techniques in piano building, which contributes to the refined final result.
Technical and playing advantages: the instrument features kam-agraffen that optimise the transfer of sound from the strings to the Kevlar soundboard, allowing a 130 cm tall piano to achieve remarkable grand‑like power and projection. The action has been improved for a very pleasant touch; the keys are made of high‑quality plastic that breathes and approximates the feel of ivory.
Specifications: acoustic instrument, height 130 cm, 88 keys, 2 pedals. Tuning is included in the sale.
