Yamaha B1 SC3 Silent Piano – compact concert sound

The Yamaha B1 SC3 combines the qualities of an acoustic piano with the flexibility of the modern SC3 Silent system.

As a new instrument, it allows both full acoustic playing and silent practice via headphones: the acoustic signal is muted while the digital system provides high-quality sounds and practical functions (metronome, recorder, transposition, and more).

In Silent mode, binaural samples of the Yamaha CFX and the Bösendorfer Imperial are available, among others, enabling a very natural sound image. The action remains active during playing so the touch response is preserved; the contactless sensors work precisely and convey an authentic dynamic range.

The SC3 system is conveniently controlled via Bluetooth and the Yamaha Smart Pianist app; a smartphone or tablet is optional. Even in purely acoustic operation, the B1 SC3 impresses with balanced sound, careful craftsmanship and an attractive high-gloss black appearance.
