The Yamaha U1 SH2 in white combines the playing feel of a high-quality acoustic piano with the convenience of a digital piano. On the U series, all components of the sound production have been improved. All instruments in the series have a fuller tone and a balanced timbre across the entire keyboard. Special rib configurations give the soundboard additional strength. Spreads and other developments provide even better stiffness, resonance and structural stability. Other improvements in the series include newly developed hammer heads, which positively affect sound production, touch response and stability. The slow-closing fallboard is also very comfortable for the player.

The Silent system SH2
This piano incorporates the latest SILENT Piano™ SH2 technology, which allows you to continue playing silently when required. Simply put on headphones and activate the mute. You activate the mute by pressing the middle pedal and locking it to the left. The hammers then no longer touch the strings; instead your key movements are detected by advanced gray sensors and transmitted to the sound generator. Via the control unit you can choose between various sounds. A CFX concert grand and a Bösendorfer Imperial are available here alongside other natural voices. The control unit is located on the left, under the keyboard. Here you can also activate other functions such as organ, strings, piano, harpsichord, synth-pad or choir sounds. The metronome, recorder and Bluetooth® audio function are also available. Operation is player-friendly and intuitive.
