Reconditioned Yamaha U1D – warm, classical tone

Description:
This Yamaha U1D model was produced in the 1959–1965 range. Older U1 versions often have a softer, warmer tone than later examples.

In our restorations we standardly add a third (moderator) pedal to the original U1D version (which from the factory has two pedals). This is recognizable by the rounded shapes on the top lid.

Overhaul and finish:
The instrument has been fully reconditioned both technically and cosmetically. The case has been resprayed with polyester high-gloss lacquer; the keytops have been replaced and the soundboard revarnished. The internal parts and action have been brought to like-new condition. Strings and hammer heads have been repaired or replaced where necessary; all felt work and the fittings in the action have been renewed and all brass parts have been polished. All pianos are fitted with a practice pedal and a slow-fall on the keyboard lid.

We offer a 10-year warranty on this reconditioned Yamaha.

Silent options:
We offer several silent systems. Sometimes we encounter Yamaha instruments with an original factory silent system, but usually we install a universal silent system. The advantage is that you can choose a piano from our full range and we will install the chosen silent system.
