Yamaha’s P series combines cost‑effective components with higher‑class features: careful workmanship, precise action and a sensitive touch response provide convincing playability and faithful sound reproduction.

On the digital side, the piano uses the SG type with stereo sampling of the CFIIIS concert grand — for broad resonance components and clear sound reproduction. Additionally, 10 voices are available (e.g. harpsichord, pipe organ, strings) as well as practical recording and playback functions.

Further functions: MIDI/USB import of data via USB sticks and an internal memory with 50 well‑known demo pieces. The instrument features the Silent function and is supplied with the HPE‑170 stereo headphones.
