Yamaha U1 — Upright piano with a balanced tone

The Yamaha U1 is a benchmark in the upright piano category: it combines high-level sound performance with technical solutions derived from grand piano models.

Recent refinements in the scale and components ensure a richer tone and a balanced response across the entire keyboard. The soundboard, supported by ribs with a reinforced grain, together with braces and other structural measures, increases stiffness, resonance and overall stability.

To achieve the best sound quality, each model in the U series is fitted with hammers made from selected materials to ensure optimal response, durability and sound production.

The music desk is large and suitable for holding large-format scores. The fallboard is equipped with a slow-close mechanism (borrowed from grand piano technology), which prevents slamming and protects both the instrument and the keyboard.

This new acoustic piano is available in a glossy black finish, with 88 keys and three pedals; it represents an elegant and durable solution for students, teachers and professional contexts that require quality and reliability.
