This C. Bechstein A 182 was carefully restored in 2020. The renovation work covered the soundboard, pinblocks and strings, and the hammers were re-felted to renew the instrument’s responsiveness and tonal clarity.
The original ebony and ivory keys remain in excellent condition, without chips or cracks and showing only minimal wear. The action preserves a refined touch that suits expressive, nuanced playing.
In terms of tone the piano offers a refined, harmonically rich voice with a lyrical, singing treble—qualities that suit both solo and chamber repertoire. The black finish completes its timeless appearance.
