About the Piano:
This c. 1973 Danemann is a rare find and a classic in its size category. Danemann was a prominent British piano manufacturer during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. This 6.8 ft model exemplifies exceptional quality that, if produced anew in the UK today, would be priced between a Steinway Boston and higher than Kawai and Yamaha models. We estimate that if sold new, this piano would be valued at approximately £60,000 – £80,000.
This particular Danemann features a keyboard crafted by Herrburger Brooks (British), a Schwander action (German), and hammer heads produced by Renner, demonstrating Danemann's commitment to sourcing the finest components for their premier pianos. In comparison, a similarly sized and aged Yamaha or Kawai would auction for around £8,000 – £13,000, yet would lack the same level of craftsmanship, restoration, and warranty.
Given these attributes, this piano represents an outstanding value in our showroom. It offers a gorgeous warm velvet tone across the keyboard, a robust four-section cast iron frame design, and a remarkably sensitive touch that allows for expressive playing.
The case finish is original French polish with a slight crazed finish.
No quibble 14 day return policy or exchange, customer is responsible for return.
