Kawai CR-45, crystal grand piano with refined design

We present the Kawai CR-45, the latest addition to Kawai Japan’s CR series of crystal grand pianos. Royal Pianos has reserved a unit that will soon be available for testing in our store.

Kawai’s crystal grand pianos, appreciated since their introduction in 1971, are noted for their brilliance and transparent appearance. The CR-45 continues this aesthetic and musical tradition, incorporating a redesign intended to increase the instrument’s visual clarity and luminosity.

To improve the performer’s experience, the length of the keys has been increased, providing a more consistent response and a more comfortable touch across the playing surface. These modifications facilitate performance and enrich expressiveness.

As for the finish, the CR-45 debuts redesigned transparent components that enhance the clarity of the acrylic body. The new music desk allows continuous adjustment of the angle, and the double casters provide a sense of stability and distinction, with a level of detail focused on luxury.

Kawai’s exclusive slow-close system ensures that the fallboard lowers slowly and in a controlled manner from the open position until fully closed, preventing the risk of entrapment in the event of accidental closure.

Thanks to its stage presence and value as an entertainment piece, the CR-45 is suitable both as a high-quality musical instrument and as a decorative element in select spaces: hotel lobbies, restaurants, and luxury cruise ships.
