Description
A rare Petrof grand piano from around 1910 (serial number 14905) fitted with its original Viennese action.
The instrument is complete and still has its original cast‑iron frame. Its warm, resonant tone is typical of Central European pianos of the early 20th century. The piano is currently playable and offers a solid base for a professional restoration.
The keyboard will need replacement; apart from that, the instrument is structurally sound and suitable either for careful conservation or for expert rebuilding.
This grand is particularly interesting for collectors, restorers, period-performance specialists and institutions focused on historic instruments.
Location: Slovakia
Pickup only
Sound video and additional photographs can be provided on request.
Viewing and trial playing available by arrangement.
Collector’s note:
Original Viennese-action grands from the early 1900s are becoming increasingly scarce. These instruments are prized for their distinctive touch, intimate tonal character and historical authenticity.
