Petrof P 159 Bora — Abel hammers and Bohemian spruce

This Petrof P 159 Bora is built around a solid Bohemian spruce soundboard (1,798.0 sq. in.) with pre‑crowned ribs (10) to ensure rich resonance and tonal consistency.

The action combines Petrof/Renner mechanics with Abel hammers for a responsive touch and musical articulation. Bass string length measures 42.3" to deliver defined low register projection.

Construction highlights include a 7‑ply European beech pinblock with cross‑grain lamination, spruce posts, a 9‑ply European beech inner rim, and a 7‑ply outer rim comprised of beech and alder with a solid core. Solid spruce rim braces are doweled into the inner rim for added stability.

The bridge and cap are crafted from solid European beech and the plate is sand‑cast and precision finished. The keybed is laminated spruce and hardwood; keys are made from solid spruce and individually weighted to provide uniform touch across the keyboard.

Three solid brass pedals are fitted, including a true sostenuto. Available finishes: Polished White, Polished Ebony, Polished Walnut, Polished Mahogany.
