Description
Petrof Model IV (P 173 Breeze) in the "Demichippendale" color version.
The piano dates back to 1957, and the instrument was actively used by a concert pianist. As such, it was regularly serviced (repairs, tuning, adjustments, corrections, etc.) by professional tuners. During its life, the instrument underwent at least one restoration of the soundboard and elements of the hammer and damper mechanism. New strings and tuning pegs were installed. Leather parts (stem barrels, grip lining), essential elements such as hammers and muffler felts were replaced. The current condition of the soundboard assembly is very good. The soundboard has no cracks, the machining quality of the bridge cap, unison parallelism or eiski are very well done, which can be seen perfectly in the photos. Metal parts such as strings, bridge pins are in perfect condition. No traces of corrosion on them at all. The acoustic/resonance potential is equal throughout the scale of the instrument. There are no tone deficits, deaf scales, buzzing/dead basses. As it stands, the piano requires basic service in the form of tuning, intonation and mechanism adjustment.
