Grand Pianos by Schimmel - Excellence and Sound Quality

A family-owned company, producing grand pianos for four generations with great love and passion, creates excellent musical instruments. High-quality materials such as Merino sheep wool and carefully selected wood from over 300-year-old mountain spruces, used in the production of the soundboard, form the foundation of each grand piano. A special process of slow and gentle wood drying ensures a stable moisture content, resulting in the superb sound of each instrument.

The "Made in Germany" certification guarantees that each Schimmel grand piano has been manufactured in Germany. Schimmel proudly carries this certificate of authenticity, being one of the few piano manufacturers in Germany to receive it.

The history of the Schimmel brand dates back to 1885 when the first workshop was founded in Leipzig. In 1927, the company passed into the hands of the founder's son, Wilhelm Arno Schimmel, who relocated the production to Braunschweig, where the production of these exceptional instruments continues to this day.

Since the beginning of the Schimmel brand, the owners and designers have always prioritized achieving the highest quality. In France, where instrument testing has a long tradition, the most distinguished French musicians meticulously evaluate all the instruments presented in renowned music magazines such as "Le Monde de la Musique," "Diapason," "Classica," and "Pianiste." Since 1988, Schimmel has received the most awards for its tested products.
