The touch of a concert grand piano, thanks to the use of a larger action similar to that of a bigger piano, is present in every Konzert grand, even in the smaller sizes. Only spruce that grows under specific conditions in high mountain regions can be used to make a quality soundboard. This rare and highly valuable wood is selected exclusively and reserved for Schimmel by the Bavarian Forest Service.
