Description
Grand piano built in Hamburg and shipped for the first time to Steinway Hall in London on 6 February 1907. From there it was sold on 19 August 1907 to the firm Waring & Gillow, furniture decorators on Oxford Street. Painted by Italian artists and almost certainly intended for one of the residences of the British royal family.
Instrument with the typical sound of the early 1900s, with warm bass tones and crystalline cantabile. The soundboard shows no cracks: the tuning is stable at 440 Hz.
