This Steinway & Sons S-155 (155 cm) is presented in an elegant black high-gloss finish and was built in 1948. Serial number: 324265. The instrument has 88 keys and 3 pedals.
The action has been completely overhauled: new, original Steinway hammerheads, renewed shanks and new rollers have been installed. Afterwards the instrument was thoroughly regulated, voiced and tuned; the tuning stability is very good.
Playability and tone are excellent — the grand offers an expressive response and balanced tonal characteristics that suit both solo pianists and performances on smaller stages very well. The voicing is set to a medium tonal character ("medium"), allowing a wide repertoire to be performed equally well, from romantic works to jazz.
