C. Bechstein 12n – upright piano with a romantic tone

C. Bechstein upright piano model 12n, built in Berlin in 1982 (serial number 175677). The instrument is known for the characteristically warm tone of Bechstein pianos, different from the Academy series.

The instrument has been recently tuned and regulated: the tuning at A = 440 Hz has been checked and the pitch is stable. The action and other components are original and are in excellent condition.

The case is well preserved and the soundboard is intact: with proper maintenance it can provide many more years of service. The sound, warm and full, is particularly suited to the romantic repertoire and classical music.

The original 88-key keyboard retains a pleasant and responsive touch; a trial is recommended to assess sensitivity and dynamic response.
