Description
The unique thing about musical instruments is that they all speak the same language and reach people’s hearts, perhaps yours as well. The beauty of it: we are part of this harmony.
Quality and individuality are our hallmarks. Each individual part is lovingly manufactured, adjusted and assembled into a work of art.
The highly flexible manual production and the innovative corporate structure allow us to offer a wide choice of furniture styles, veneers and lacquered finishes, and to fulfil almost any customer request individually.
100% “Made in Germany” guaranteed by certification of the Bundesverband Klavier e.V. (BVK)
Sound
The characteristic warm, harmonious AUGUST FÖRSTER sound and the voluminous tonal projection of our instruments are the result of profound experience acquired in a 160-year process of continuous improvement. A particularly noteworthy result is the soundboard, crafted with great care and unique in the Förster manner. The heavy cast-iron plates of AUGUST FÖRSTER instruments effortlessly take the load of the strings (up to 20 tonnes!). Although the special shape — based on a patent by August Förster from 1866 — largely guarantees torsional rigidity, we additionally incorporate a solid wooden brace as a sturdy construction. This results in the proverbially good tuning stability of our instruments.
