Description
Exterior finish
The piano case has been coated with a top-quality Italian polyester lacquer in deep black. The inner side of the rim and the fallboard received a clear coat of the same Italian lacquer, and these parts were additionally given a decorative veneer — Satin Walnut was used, which emphasizes the instrument’s character.
Acoustic section
The soundboard underwent a full restoration and has been protected with a high-quality Italian lacquer. New bridge caps for the bass and treble bridges were made from selected beech wood, profiled in four stages. Strings from renowned manufacturers were used — bass strings by Heller and treble strings by Roslau — scaled and chosen individually according to precise measurements. A new multi-layer pinblock was installed in the instrument, providing greater stability of the pin holes and longer tuning stability. The cast-iron frame was refurbished and painted with a matching, high-quality lacquer.
Mechanical section
The action underwent a complete renovation: hammers and shanks were replaced with new examples from ABEL. The keyboard was fully restored, and the white keytops were replaced with new ones made of Kluge Ivoplast. A precise regulation of the action in conjunction with the keyboard was performed. The instrument was tuned eight times and intonated by a certified technician.
